On November 8, 2005, the CMF churches in Kenya were finally granted their own church registration. Called by the name Community Christian Church (CCC), the Kenyan believers of CMF now have the recognition with the government that allows them to organize on a national scale with the CMF work in Turkana and be their own church. Their new registration also allows them to "gazette" their pastors, which means they will be issued official certificate books to officiate at marriages, as well as funerals.

This registration empowers  the believers to take their churches in the direction they believe God is taking them and start new ministries that will support the work they are trying to do. The relationship between CCC and CMF will change over the next few years as CCC takes the lead on more ministry issues and CMF comes alongside them in appropriate ways.
